1. LAPD UPDATE – CRIME MAPPING
From Christopher Ragsdale, West LAPD Senior Lead Officer:
Since the E-Policing format has been down I have been directing residents to go to www.crimemapping.com to review crimes within your neighborhood. What is nice about this site is it also has an Alert feature where you can sign up to receive email alerts when crime is reported within your specified boundaries.
EMERGENCY: 911
NON-EMERGENCY: 1-877-275-5273
All other City Services: 311

2. UPS PACKAGE THEFT
A resident on Le Conte near Thayer reported that 2 packages that were delivered by UPS were both stolen from her front porch. The theft occurred on Tuesday, August 9 between 4:30-7:30 PM. The theft has been reported to the police.
This should serve as a reminder that it is never safe to leave packages by your front door. Please have packages delivered with “signature required” or have them delivered to another location (such as a business office) where it can be handed to a person directly.
3. MORE COYOTES
We continue to receive reports of coyotes in the neighborhood. Please take appropriate precautions to keep your family and pets safe.
For more information about coyote safety, please click here.

5. NAME A SEAT AT THE GIL CATES THEATER
The Geffen Playhouse has been a world renowned institution for the arts, as well as a Westwood landmark, for over 20 years. Please consider assisting the Geffen Playhouse by “naming a seat” so we can enjoy the power of live theater for the next 20 years.
Please read the attached letter from Gil Cates, Jr., and we thank you for your time and consideration.
